Women’s Tennis Ends West Coast Road Trip With 6-1 Loss to No. 6 Pepperdine

MALIBU, Calif. – The Princeton University women's tennis team were defeated 6-1 by No. 6 Pepperdine, Thursday afternoon at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. The Tigers battled hard, with Neha Velaga earning a top-40 singles victory.
Pepperdine won the doubles point, but the tandem of Grace Joyce and Maia Sung nearly upended the No. 14 ranked duo, Victoria Flores and Lisa Zaar. The score was 5-4 in favor of the Waves before the match was abandoned.
In singles, Neha Velaga knocked off No. 39 Taisiya Pachkaleva while playing in the No. 1 spot. Velaga dropped the first set 0-6, before taking the next two sets 6-1, 6-3.
