Donovan & Sears Earn Ivy Weekly Awards

Princeton picked up a pair of wins on a West Coast swing, improving to 5-0 overall this season with victories at No. 17 USC and San Diego State.

For their efforts in securing the wins, two Tiger seniors were named Ivy League Players of the Week in Marge Donovan and Kyla Sears.

Marge Donovan tied Princeton's single-game draw control record with 11 DCs in a 27-18 win at San Diego State on Saturday. Overall for the week, she had 18 draw controls.

Kyla Sears tallied 12 total points in two games last week, scoring four goals in each of Princeton's wins while dishing out four assists. On Tuesday at No. 17 USC, she had seven points (4g, 3a) while adding two ground balls and a caused turnover. On Saturday at San Diego State, she scored four more goals and picked up one draw control. Sears leads the Ivy League with 26 points this season, averaging 5.2 points-per-game.

The Tigers are back on the road this weekend, taking on Penn State in Happy Valley on March 19 at 1 p.m.
