April 11, 2026 | Women's Lacrosse
No. 20 Princeton was dominant in New York City, downing Columbia, 18-7, to improve to 6-6 overall and 3-2 inside the Ivy League.
The win also improved the Tigers to 29-0 all-time against the Lions and kept the Tigers in range of securing their berth to the Ivy League Tournament as Princeton sits in a tie for third alongside Cornell and Brown with two weeks to go in the regular season.
11 different players had at least one point for the Tigers, led by Haven Dora who had a career high nine points on three goals and six assists to finish one point shy of tying the program record of 10 points in a game that has been accomplished five times previously by a Princeton player.
Â
Dylan Allen had four ground balls and a caused turnover on defense to lead a group that conceded a season-low seven goals. Amelia Hughes made seven saves while allowing six goals in three quarters of play.
The Tigers jumped all over the Lions in the first quarter, turning an early 1-1 score into a 6-1 Princeton advantage after the opening period.
Colette Quinn led the way in the opening period, scoring three times. Haven Dora added a goal and an assist in the first quarter as well.
Â
That Columbia goal sparked a bit of a run to close the first half as the Lions scored three times in a span of 2:05 to cut Princeton's lead to five at the break.
Princeton responded to start the third quarter, scoring twice in in the opening 0:32 of the second half to start what proved to be a four-goal run that put Princeton in front, 13-4, with 9:36 left in the third quarter.
The highlight goal in that run was a behind-the-back finish from Jami MacDonald off a perfect pass off the stick of Dora just 16 seconds after Becca Kirschner had scored to open the half.
In the fourth, Ella Sloan and Grace Farrell added the final two goals to secure the double-digit win.
