Laudenslager Adds Ivy Weekly Honor After No-Hit Weekend

Princeton junior Alexis Laudenslager threw 11 innings between two games to help the Tiger softball team to a weekend sweep of Brown, getting two wins and adding her name to an exclusive list along the way.

Now, she adds the honor of being named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week.

Over those 11 innings, Laudenslager gave up no runs and no hits, following four innings in relief on Friday with a start on Sunday that saw her throw the 28th no-hitter in program history and Princeton's first seven-inning no-hitter in an Ivy League game since 2005. Laudenslager allowed just four walks and a hit batter during the 11 innings, and in the no-hitter, the only baserunner was a fourth-inning walk.

Laudenslager struck out 17 batters over the 11 innings, including 10 Ks in the no-hitter, setting a career best for Laudenslager in a single game.

The Tigers, who have won seven of eight and are 3-0 in the Ivy League, will host Villanova on Wednesday at Princeton Softball Stadium at Strubing Field before heading to Harvard over the weekend to continue the Ivy League season.
