No. 11 Women's Open Rowing Hosts No. 7 Ohio State & No. 8 Brown Saturday

The first of three home regattas for the 11th-ranked Princeton Open Rowing program is set for March 26 as the Tigers launch their 2022 season against a pair of fellow top-ranked programs in No. 7 Ohio State and No. 8 Brown.
Racing begins at 9 a.m. for the women, following the men's heavyweight races which start at 8 a.m. as Lake Carnegie returns to full racing action.
In the final race of the women's morning, the Tigers and Bears will compete for the Class of 1987 Trophy. First contested in 1987, the all-time series between the Tigers and Bears stands 21-12 in favor of Princeton. The Tigers have won nine of the last 12 Class of 1987 Trophy races, including the last three from 2017-19. The 2019 race was a 3.5-second win for the Tigers on Lake Carnegie in a race featuring three Top-10 teams.

After not competing during the 2020 spring season due to COVID-19, Princeton returned to action in the spring of 2021, competing in five races. Included in those races were a convincing win over Temple on Lake Carnegie, four gold medals at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River, and a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
