Women’s Tennis Commences West Coast Road Trip

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Princeton University women's tennis team will head West for matchups with SDSU, San Diego and Pepperdine. The Tigers and Aztecs will kick things off tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT, followed by Princeton and San Diego on Wednesday, March 9 at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT. The orange and black will close out their West coast journey on Thursday, March 10 with a battle with No. 2 Pepperdine at 3:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. PT.
The Tigers are 3-7 on the year, falling to No. 16 Michigan 7-0 on February 20th. Princeton's three wins have come against Ivy League opponents, all 4-0 victories.
Scouting SDSU
The Aztecs are 6-3, their latest match a 5-2 defeat against San Diego. In the 2020-2021 season, SDSU finished the season at 5-9.
Scouting San Diego
The Toreros are 6-3, most recently defeating SDSU 5-2. Last year, San Diego went 15-5, losing to Texas Tech 4-0 in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Scouting Pepperdine
The Waves are 7-3, coming off a 4-1 victory over No. 25 Stanford. During last year's campaign, Pepperdine went 25-4 and advanced to the NCAA Championships, falling 4-3 against then No. 2 Texas.
