Clayman, Fretty Earn GCAA All-America Scholar Honors

Sam Clayman and Jackson Fretty have earned Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors, the Golf Coaches Association of America has announced.

Clayman, who graduated with a degree in history last spring, served as a team captain last season. Playing in eight events between the fall and the spring, Clayman led Princeton in events twice, at Duke and Yale, and finished fourth at the Princeton Invitational. Clayman had a stroke average of 74.57 between the fall and the spring.

Fretty, a rising junior and sociology major, competed in eight events with a high finish of a second-place tie in the individual competition at The Prestige to open the spring season. Fretty carded a stroke average of 74.60 between the fall and the spring.

The honor is the second for Clayman and the first for Fretty, coming in his first year of award eligibility as a sophomore.
