Open Rowing Has Four Collect Medals at U23 World Rowing Championships

VARESE, Italy – The Princeton women's open rowing team had four medal winners during Saturday's racing at the U23 World Rowing Championships.
Camille Vandermeer and the United States U23 8+ led throughout and took home the gold medal (6:23.03) by over three seconds.
Her Princeton teammates Katharine Kalap and Zoe Scheske of Great Britain (6:27.81) picked up the silver medal.
Katherine George and her teammate Vwaire Obukohwo of Great Britain's U23 2X secured the bronze (7:05.18) behind Romania (7:02.61) and Canada (7:04.70).
"It's also great to see your rowers do so well on the international stage," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "This is a testament to how well they train and I'm very excited for all of them."
Phaedrea van der Molen '26 (Netherlands U23 LW1x just missed a medal (7:51.39) placing fourth overall in her event.
Anna Menke '26 and her partner Lotta Van Westreenen (Netherlands U19 2X) won their semifinal (7:11.98) by almost three seconds and will go for gold tomorrow (7:40 a.m.).
Annalisa Janss Lanfond '26 and Great Britain's U19 8+ race for a medal tomorrow at 8:10 a.m.
