Fox-Gitomer, Holmes '17 Lead Medal Haul for Tigers, Alums at January NAC

Senior Chloe Fox-Gitomer and Katharine Holmes '17 each won gold at U.S. Fencing's January North American Cup event in Louisville, Ky., that wrapped on Jan. 9, with the two Tigers leading a medal haul for current and alumni Princetonians.
Fox-Gitomer won gold in Division 1 women's saber with Maia Chamberlain '22 also earning a top-eight finish, placing sixth. Holmes won her gold in Division 1 women's épée.
In the Division 1 women's foil event, senior May Tieu tied for third while reiging NCAA champion Maia Weintraub was top-eight as well, placing sixth.
Rookie Hadley Husisian tied for third in junior women's épée, and on the men's side, sophomore Ronald Anglade tied for third in junior men's saber.
Additional alumni with top-three finishes included Paul Epply-Schmidt '83, who won silver in the vet-60 men's foil event, and Jim Adams '61, who tied for third in the vet-80 men's épée event.
