Sondre Guttormsen named to the 2023 preseason watch list for The Bowerman

About The BowermanÂ
Princeton N.J. – Senior, Sondre Guttormsen has been named to the 2023 watch list for the Bowerman, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Â
The Bowerman is the highest honor bestowed to collegiate track & field's most outstanding athletes of the year. Guttormsen was a semifinalist for The Bowerman to close out the 2022 Outdoor season.

Guttormsen is one of just ten athletes upon the official 2023 preseason watch list and is the third man in Tiger history to be named to the list.

Guttormsen has had a highly decorated career while at Princeton, and still has the 2023 season to continue to put his talent and athleticism on display.
Â
Some of Guttormsen's career highlights as a Tiger include being named a 2022 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Champion for Pole Vault, a First-Team All-American Pole Vaulter title (Indoor, Outdoor), an Ivy League Champion title for Pole Vault (Indoor, Outdoor), and being named a Bowerman Semifinalst (Outdoor 2022).

Sondre has also competed on the global stage, representing Norway at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The Princeton men's track and field team have only competed in two meets so far this season, with plenty of more opportunities ahead in 2023.

This week, Guttormsen will be traveling to compete at the National Pole Vault Summit held in Reno, Nevada. Also on the horizon, is the Indoor Ivy League Heptagonal Championships that will be taking place from February 25th to 26th at Dartmouth College.
