PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's track and field team will host the annual Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday, April 4th in Weaver Stadium.Â
The action will kick off at 8 a.m. with the men's and women's 10ks, before field events start at 10 a.m. and the running events pick back up at 12:30 p.m.Â
Princeton is coming off a dominant showing as it hosted Rider on Tuesday evening for a dual meet, winning nine of 12 events.Â
A 4x100 squad of Greg Foster, Jackson Clarke, Jadon Spain and Kavon Miller highlighted the evening as they set a new Princeton all-time second-best mark in the relay, running 39.80. They came within a second of the school record of 39.14.
Before Tuesday, Princeton opened the outdoor season at the Penn Challenge on Mar. 21. The Tigers won eight events.
The Tigers are coming off a historic indoor season that saw Princeton claim an 11th-straight indoor Ivy League Championship title.
At NCAAs, the Tigers claimed eight All-Americans. Greg Foster (LJ), Joe Licata (SP) and a 4x400 squad earned First Team honors.
Connor McCormick (mile) and Myles Hogan (5000m) claimed Second Team distinction.
The Tigers enter the 2026 outdoor track season chasing a third-consecutive Ivy League Triple Crown.Â
Last year, Princeton completed its 12th all-time and second-consecutive Triple Crown by winning the 2025 Outdoor Heps Championship.Â
This Fall, the Tigers continued their streak of success as they won the 2025 cross country championship. Now with the indoor title claimed, they are an outdoor Ivy League championship away from completing the feat.
The Tigers are led by Jason Vigilante, in his third year at the helm. Since being named the head coach, Vigilante has led the Tigers to two Triple Crowns. He was named the 2025 Outdoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, and the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Ivy Coach of the Year.Â
