FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – Joe Licata and the Tiger men's 4x400 squad earned First Team All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday in Fayetteville.
Licata took sixth place in the shot put, earning First Team All-American distinction with a new personal best throw of 20.09m / 65-11.
The performance bumps him into second all-time in the Princeton record book.
It is the first time he has earned First Team All-America honors.
In the 4x400 relay, Jonathan York, Xavier Donaldson, Kavon Miller and Joey Gant took sixth place with a time of 3:04.89.
Taking second place in heat one, the Tigers excelled with Gant running a 45.72 anchor leg to cap off the race.
The performance was enough to secure First Team All-America for the quartet, a career first for all four.
After a dominant indoor season, which saw the Tigers claim an 11th-straight Ivy League indoor championship, the Tigers will now look to complete a third-consecutive Ivy League Triple Crown with the outdoor season looming. Princeton will begin the outdoor action next weekend at the Penn Challenge.
