Tigers Place Two in Finals at F&M Open, Finishes Runner-Up

Danny Coles at 141 and Grant Cuomo at 165 advanced to the finals as the Princeton wrestling team opened 2023 with a runner-up team finish Franklin & Marshall's Lehman Open.

Princeton finished with 160.5 points, behind only North Carolina's 167.5 points. The Tigers a large contingent of EIWA teams in the field, with Navy, fourth overall, second among conference teams at 124 points.

Princeton had nine placewinning finishes, led by Coles and Cuomo finishing runner-up. Nick Kayal (fourth, 125), Aidan Conner (third, 197), Travis Stefanik (fourth, 285), Hudson Hightower (fourth, 157), Marshall Keller (fifth, 149), Ty Whalen (eighth, 157) and Sebastian Garibaldi (eighth, 285) also finished top-eight.

Princeton will continue next weekend with a dual-match trip to FloWrestling's facility in Austin, Texas, and a Friday match against Oregon State before continuing to Tempe, Ariz., for a dual against No. 3-ranked Arizona State.
