Men's Soccer to Face Fordham, Final Nonconference Opponent of the Season

PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton men's soccer team will host Fordham this Tuesday evening at Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium. Game day is set for October 24th at 7 p.m. and the match will air on ESPN+. The match will be the final nonconference match of the Tiger's 2023 season.

Princeton is 4-6-2 overall and 1-2-2 in Ivy League Conference play following the tie to Brown on Saturday.
Daniel Ittycheria is tied for 25th in the country in goals per game. The sophomore leads the team with 8 goals this season and one assist, he also leads the team in points scored (17) ... scored braces matches against Columbia (10/7) and against St. John's (9/19) ... scored the solo goal against Seton Hall (10/10)
Khamari Hadaway averages 4.50 saves per game which ranks him 22nd in the country. The junior has a total of 45 saves on the 2023 season in 10 games and a 67.2% save percentage ... 6 saves in the win against Rutgers (9/1), 10 saves against No. 3 Duke (9/4), 3 saves against No. 21 New Hampshire (9/15), 3 saves against St. John's (9/19), 3 saves against Dartmouth (9/23), 2 saves against Yale (9/30), 5 saves against No. 8 Georgetown (10/3), 2 saves against Columbia (10/7), 6 saves against Seton Hall (10/10). In 2022 he only recorded 18 saves in the 7 games he played.

The offense has been heating up. The Tigers have had two games this season with four goals. Four different goal scorers in their 4-1 win over Monmouth (9/26) - Walker Gillespie, Will Francis, Nico Nee, Daniel Ittycheria... three different goal scorers in their 4-0 win over Columbia (10/7) - Daniel Ittycheria, Will Francis, Ian Nunez.
The sophomore Will Francis scored goals in back-to-back games, with a goal against against Monmouth and with a crucial, game-tying goal against Yale. He also scored a goal against Columbia. Will is third on the team in points scored this season with 6.
The freshman Ian Nunez scored the game winning goal against St. John's (9/19), tallying his first collegiate goal, and scored a goal against Columbia. He has been the only freshman to score a goal thus far, has seen 256 minutes of playing time, and owns a 63.6% shot on goal percentage.
Nico Nee is 1st on the team in assists per game with 5 assists ... he is second on the team in points scored this season with 11. Nee is 3 for 3 on the season in penalty kicks.
Sophomore Stephen Duncan scored the first goal of his collegiate career against No. 21 New Hampshire (9/15).
Whit Gamblin leads the team in minutes played ... 982 minutes through 12 games. Gamblin stated an assist against Columbia.
The team holds a 0.476 shots on goal percentage ... ranked 35th in shot accuracy.
Princeton is ranked No. 63 in the NCAA Men's Soccer RPI metrics, Fordham is ranked 28th.
The Tiger's schedule has consisted of twelve games thus far, three of them against Top-25 teams. The match against Georgetown was the third ranked opponent of the 2023 season.
