October 26, 2023 | Men's Water Polo
PRINCETON – For the second straight season, Roko Pozaric has been named to the Peter J. Cutino Award Watch List, USA Water Polo and The Olympic Club have announced.
The Peter J. Cutino Award, named in honor of the late Hall of Fame coach, recognizes the best player in men's and women's college water polo. This watch list was created in 2022 in an effort to help promote the college game, awareness of the honor, and the excellent play of athletes around the country.
Pozaric has been one of the best players in the country as he leads the Tigers in scoring with 55 goals and adding 37 assists. He's also provided 23 drawn ejections along with an 84-4 sprint record.
He has scored in every game this season with 15 multi-goal outings along with eight hat tricks. Some of his top performances include five tallies vs. No. 19 Santa Clara and six goals vs. No. 14 Cal Baptist.
For his career, he has 185 goals and 117 assists which makes one of only four players in program history to reach those marks.
Princeton is 21-4 this season and has won 16 straight regular conference games in the Northeast Water Polo Conference. The Tigers head on the road this weekend to take on Brown on Saturday (12 p.m.) and MIT (10 a.m.)/Harvard (3:15 p.m.) on Sunday.
