No. 6 Men's Water Polo Ready For NWPC Tournament This Weekend

PRINCETON – The No. 6 Princeton Men's Water Polo Team will look for its third straight Northeast Water Polo Conference championship this weekend at Harvard.
The Tigers will take on the winner of Iona and MIT on Saturday at 12 p.m. The winner of that contest will winner of Harvard/Connecticut College and Brown/LIU on Sunday for the title at 1 p.m.
Princeton has never won three straight conference crowns, earning titles in 2004, 2009, 2011, 2015 and 2018 before the program's current run. The NWPC champion gets an automatic big to the NCAA Tournament (Dec. 1-3) at USC. There is no play-in contest so the winner will get to straight to California.
The Tigers are 25-5 this season with 12 victories over ranked opponents. This squad is led by Roko Pozaric who has 66 goals, 45 assists along with 37 steals and a 97-7 sprint record. He's four goals shy of 200 for his career and is one of only four players in program history with at least 150 goals and 100 assists. His 45 helpers this season are a career high.
George Caras is second on the team with 48 tallies, a personal best, adding 46 drawn ejections. Vladan Mitrovic has 46 goals, a career high for the junior, while JP Oh (31)l, Yurian Quinones (31), Finn LeSieur (28), Pierce Maloney (28), Mason Killion (24), Logan McCarroll (21) and Will Swart (20) each have at least 20 goals for the Tigers.
Kristóf Kovács and West Temkin have combined to produce a .570 save percentage and 330 saves for Princeton.
The Tigers' only conference loss was to No. 11 Harvard, their first conference loss in 22 games. Princeton also took down the Crimson, 17-11, earlier this season.
