Schott, Sech Win Big At Big Al Invitational Saturday

The Princeton men's swimming and diving team had two more individual winners and went 1-3-5 in the 800 free relay to continue to lead the Big Al Invitational Saturday night at DeNunzio Pool.
Princeton leads second-place Penn State 649.5-590 in the 10-team standings, increasing its lead from Friday by 14 points.
The Tigers and Nittany Lions were tight until the 800 relay, when Princeton picked up 100 points to 52 for the Nittany Lions. Those results built the lead from just 11.5 up to the 59.5 it sits at heading into Sunday's final day.
Max Kreidl, Noah Sech, Mitchell Schott and Maximillian Hunger combined to win the relay, while Arthur Balva, Daniel Li, Nicholas Lim and Lucas Tudoras came in third and Peyton Werner, Billy Swartwout, Lucas Strobek and Hunter Kim came in fifth.
Sech and Schott also won individual events and bettered the NCAA provisional qualifying time in the process. Schott led a 1-2-5 finish in the 200 free with his B standard time of 1:33.97, followed by Hunger in second and Tudoras in fifth. Sech took the 400 Individual Medley in a time of 3:47.02.
The event concludes Sunday with prelims at 10 and finals at 5.
Aidan Wang finished 17th on the 1-meter board with a score of 277.05 and Luca Fassi was 36th with a score of 199.65 at the USA Diviing Winter Nationals.
