PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's tennis team returns to Jadwin Gymnasium to host Binghampton at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, followed by No. 5 Michigan on Saturday, February 18, at 10 a.m.
The Tigers, who are 5-3 on the season, are coming off a runner-up finish at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, which took place at the Boss Tennis Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, from Friday, February 10, until Sunday, February 12. The Tigers opened the tournament with a 4-3 victory over Dartmouth, before taking down Harvard, 4-0 and advancing to the final. In the final, Princeton fell to Brown, 4-1.
Additionally, in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, Daria Frayman checked in at No. 4 in singles, and No. 26 in doubles with Grace Joyce.
The Bearcats are 0-10 on the season, most recently suffering a 5-2 setback against Marist on Saturday, February 11, in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The Wolverines are 6-1 in 2023, and overcame No. 11 Ohio State, 4-1, in the most recenet match on Sunday, February 12, at the Seattle Tennis Club in Seattle, Washington, as part of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. In singles, Julia Fliegner is ranked No. 33 while Jaedan Brown checks in at No. 36, Lily Jones at No. 49, Kari Miller at No. 68 and Gala Mesochoritou at No. 98. The duo of Brown and Miller are ranked No. 3 in doubles, and Fliegner and Jones are No. 50.
