Fifth Career No-Hitter Earns Laudenslager Season's Fifth Ivy Weekly Award

For the fifth time in her career, Princeton senior Alexis Laudenslager threw a no-hitter, and for the fifth time this season, she has earned Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honors.
Laudenslager threw 10 shutout innings over two games against Columbia over the weekend, leading to two wins as Princeton swept the three-game series and exited the weekend with a 10-2 Ivy record and a one-game lead on Harvard with nine league games left.Â
In Saturday's first game, Laudenslager allowed two hits, a walk and hit two batters over five shutout innings. Sunday, Laudenslager threw a five-inning no-hitter, allowing two hit batters and a walk in an 8-0 Princeton win. Laudenslager had 13 strikeouts on the weekend, with five Saturday and eight Sunday, giving her 117 for the season, an Ivy best by nearly 50 Ks.Â
The no-hitter was Laudenslager's third of the season, making her the first player in program history to throw three no-hitters in a season, solo or combined, and was her fifth career no-hitter, all solo, making her the first player in program history to throw five solo no-hitters.Â
Laudenslager and the Tigers will head to Cornell this weekend as the Ivy season continues.
