Four-Peat! Women’s Tennis Wins 2023 Ivy League Championship

HANOVER, N.H. – For the fourth-consecutive season and the 17th time in program history, the No. 51 Princeton University women's tennis team are Ivy League Champions after defeating Dartmouth, Saturday at the Thompson Outdoor Courts.
The Tigers' 17th Ivy League title comes in the first season of Jamea Jackson's tenure as head coach, as Princeton moved to 6-0 in conference play.
Princeton won the doubles point; the team of Maia Sung and Zoe Howard overcame Ashley Hess and Katie Weber, 6-0, at No. 2 and at No. 3 Neha Velaga and Eva Elbaz triumphed over Emily Zhou and Lexi DeWire, 6-4.
In singles, No. 7 Daria Frayman took down Chidimma Okpara, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 and Velaga earned a 6-1, 7-6 (9-7) win at No. 2 over Hess. At the No. 5 position, and Maia Sung prevailed over Ujvala Jupalli, 6-4, 6-2.
