Rao Finishes Runner-Up at Ivy League Championships

Princeton rookie Catherine Rao took runner-up honors as the Ivy League Championship tournament wrapped Sunday at Century Country Club in Purchase, N.Y.
Rao shot 72, 78 and 73 over the three rounds to finish at +7, four strokes back of medalist Isabella Gomez of Harvard. Rao's final round saw her pick up three birdies, one of which came on the par-three 13th hole as Rao made it in two.
All-Ivy will be formally announced on Thursday, but Rao will earn first-team All-Ivy honors based on her top-five finish. Junior Yu Kyung Kim will earn All-Ivy honors for the second straight year, repeating as a second-team All-Ivy honoree after tying for 10th overall at +16.
Princeton finished fifth as a team, 13 strokes back of winner Penn, which was four shots better than runner-up Harvard.
