Men's Golf Team Heads for Final Round at NCAA Norman Regional

Jackson Fretty turned in an even-par round to lead the Princeton men's golf team during the second day of the three-round NCAA Norman Regional as the Tigers stand in 13th place at +13 entering Wednesday's final round.
Alabama (-15), Oklahoma (-13), Texas Tech (-11), Colorado (-11) and North Florida (-10) are in the five spots to advance to the NCAA Championships entering Wednesday. The top player not on those five teams will also get an NCAA Championships bid, and Ole Miss's Hugo Townsend enters Wednesday in that spot, standing tied for fourth at -6. Ludvig Aberg leads in pursuit of medalist honors with Oklahoma's Drew Goodman one stroke back at -8.
Max Ting is the top Tiger, tied for 33rd overall at even par after a 1-over round Tuesday. Fretty's round included three birdies on the back nine after a 2-over front nine as an 18th-hole bogey had him finish at even par for the day.
Play is set to begin at 8 a.m. CT/9 a.m. ET for Wednesday's final round. Princeton will begin teeing off at 9:50 a.m. CT/10:50 a.m. ET.
