June 19, 2023 | Men's Water Polo
PRINCETON – The two-time defending Northeast Water Polo Conference Champion Princeton Men's Water Polo Team has announced its 2023 schedule.
"Coming off the best season in program history, we are eagerly anticipating the start of our 2023 campaign," said Princeton head coach Dustin Litvak. "Our goal remains the same; to compete for a national championship. This schedule, while ambitious, should put us in a great position to attack that objective at the end of the season. On top of playing the best of the best on the East Coast, we will be making two California trips. In September, we will be participating in the MPSF Invite, the top regular season tournament of the year featuring the top 16 teams in the country. In October, we will venture back out west to play three games in Southern California before heading north to play four more. The returners, incoming guys and coaches are all hard at work preparing for the exciting challenges ahead."
The Tigers open up the 2023 schedule with a mini-tournament at DeNunzio Pool on Sept. 2 with LIU and George Washington. The annual Princeton Invitational is the week after (Sept. 8-10) with Cal Baptist, Wagner, Santa Clara, Chapman and Fordham on the schedule for the Tigers.
Princeton goes on the road for the Bucknell Invite (Sept. 16) against Air Force and the host Bisons. The Tigers head on to the West Coast for the first time for the MPSF Invite during the weekend of Sept. 22-24.
NWPC action starts with home matches vs. Harvard and MIT on Sept. 30 along with a contest vs. Brown on Oct. 1.
The Tigers go back on the road for NWPC conference matches vs. LIU and Iona (Oct. 7).
Princeton heads back to the West Coast to take on UC Irvine (Oct. 15), UCSB (Oct. 17) and UCLA (Oct. 18) before the Santa Clara Invite (Oct. 20-21).
The month of October finishes with road games at Brown (Oct. 28), MIT (Oct. 29) and Harvard (Oct. 29).
The regular season wraps up with home contests vs. LIU and Iona (Nov. 4).
The NWPC Championships will be at Harvard on Nov. 17-19 with the NCAA Play-In Game on Nov. 25 and the NCAA Tournament the following week (Nov. 30-Dec. 3).
