Football Ranked No. 2 in Ivy Preseason Poll

PRINCETON – The Princeton Football Team has been selected as No. 2 in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, according to the conference.

The Tigers got one first place among the 16 media members who voted, earning 103 points. Yale took the top spot with 13 first-place votes and 122 points. Penn was third (90), Harvard (84, one first-place vote), Columbia (62, one first-place vote), Dartmouth (54), Cornell (37) and Brown (24) round out the poll.

The Tigers, who went 8-2 last season, will host five home games this year at Princeton Stadium starting in September when they take on Bryant and ending the year against Ivy opponent Yale. Returning for the Princeton include the Bushnell Cup winner for Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, Liam Johnson, and five other All-Ivy selections like quarterback Blake Stenstrom who posted an Ivy League-best 2,742 passing yards and 69.4 completion percentage.
