PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's soccer team (2-2-0) dropped the first game of Ivy League play 2-1 to Dartmouth this afternoon at Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.

First Half

The Tigers broke open the scoring early in the game with a 9th minute goal from Daniel Ittycheria. Ittycheria scored his fourth goal of the season off of a rebound goal from Ryan Winkler. The sophomore now leads the Tigers in both goals and points scored this season.

The Big Green lead the Tigers in shots on goal in the first half but Hadaway put a stop to these attacks with 4 saves.

Dartmouth found the equalizer in the 27th minute from a Douglas Arveskär and tied the scoring at 1. The score remained 1-1 going into the half.

Second Half

What was a light drizzle early in play turned to steady rain in the second half. Dartmouth took its first lead in the match in the 69th minute with Sam Fenton finding the back of the net off of a header. The Big Green would lead the Tigers 2-1.

The Tigers pushed to find the equalizer in the final 20 minutes of the contest, but the Dartmouth defense held out and kept the Tiger's in a scoring drought through the final 45 minutes.
