CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Head of the Charles officially saw 2024-25 open for the Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team on a Sunday afternoon where the Tigers produced a strong showing in the 8+.
"Today's racing was a good start to the 2024-2025 season," said Head Coach Marty Crotty. "Harvard as expected is the clear front runner this year and it's a dog fight for second through seventh in our league. I thought our guys brought great energy to the piece and did the best they could do today. It's a long season. They'll improve. We'll be right on the thick of it come May."
Princeton's A boat, consisting of Adam Casler, David Van Velden, Luke Helstrom, Bach Ryan, Frederick Middleton, Reuben Cook, Noah Klemmer Domonkos, Hidde Lycklama and Nick Aronow finished fourth with a time of 14:19.32.
Princeton's B boat took ninth in 14:48.53. Rowing for the Tigers' B boat was Luc Harbers, Reese Bommer, Jack Kiely, Will Nash, Conlan Diamond, Alonzo Walton, Atticus Chute, Liam Dooley and Jack Hime.
