No. 9 Men’s Water Polo Set For First Home Conference Matchups

PRINCETON, N.J.- The No. 9 Men's Water Polo team will be back at DeNunzio Pool this weekend for the first time since the Princeton Invitational. The Tigers will face No. 18 Brown, MIT and No. 14 Harvard.

Tigers To Watch
Kristóf Kovács is coming off his third straight Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week honors thanks to a strong weekend with 26 saves. Kovács held NWPC foe Iona to just seven goals and recorded four steals in the win, the most by a Princeton goalie since 2017.
Enrique Nuño earned his first NWPC Rookie of the Week honors after recording five goals across the weekend, including his first collegiate hat trick. The Madrid, Spain native added two assists, two steals and two blocks.
Roko Pozaric continues to chip away at the program record for career goals. He currently has 239 and is just 16 away from breaking the record set by John Storver in 2005.
History
Princeton and Brown met twice in the 2023 season with Princeton securing the win in both matchups. The Tigers held the Bears to single digit scoring in both games.
In the two most recent matchups between Princeton and MIT, the Tigers came out on top.
The Tigers and Crimson last met in the NWPC Championship game in 2023. Princeton battled to a 8-5 victory for their third straight conference title.
