Men's Lightweight Rowing Announces 2024-25 Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team announced its 2024-25 schedule Friday morning.
Princeton is coming off a strong 2024 season where it earned a third-place finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships. The team returns eight out of its nine first varsity rowers and is aiming to keep the momentum going in 2024-25.
The Tigers opened their fall season at the Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Oct. 20. Princeton will compete in its final regatta of the fall when it hosts the Princeton Chase at Lake Carnegie on Nov. 3.
Spring season begins at home on Mar. 22 against Navy and Georgetown for the Murtaugh and Fosburgh Cups. The Tigers then host Columbia for the Campbell Cup on Mar. 29 then Dartmouth on Mar. 30 for the Diamond Challenge Trophy.
Princeton returns to the road travel to Ithaca, New York, to compete for the Platt and Harriott Trophy against Cornell on Apr. 12 before making the short trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to row against the University of Pennsylvania for the Wood-Hammond Trophy.
The Tigers hosts their final home regatta on Apr. 26 when it competes against Harvard and Yale for the Goldthwait and Vogel Cups.
Postseason competition begins on May. 18 in Worcester, Massachusetts, at Eastern Sprints. Princeton wraps up the season in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships from May 30 – June 1.
