
Pozaric and Litvak Earn NWPC Top Honors, Six Named To All-Conference Teams

PRINCETON, N.J.- The No. 6 Princeton men's water polo team had six members named to all-conference teams. Roko Pozaric collected his third consecutive Most Valuable Player award and head coach Dustin Litvak was honored as the Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season as announced by the CWPA.
Pozaric was selected to the ALL-NWPC First Team and leads the team this season in goals with 67 and is currently second on the team in assists with 39. He was named the conference Rookie of the Year in 2021 and has been named to the Cutino Award Watch List the past three seasons. The senior has scored in 27 of 29 games this season with 21 multi-goal performances.
Kristóf Kovács has been an iron man for the Tigers in the cage this season. The sophomore keeper who was named to the All-NWPC First Team, has played all but 26 minutes for Princeton and has recorded 290 saves. Kovács has also notched 32 steals and 23 assists and was named the NWPC Defensive Player of the Week six times along with the Cutino Award Watch List this season.
The third member from the Princeton roster to be named to the All-NWPC First Team was senior Vladan Mitrovic. The defender leads the team in blocks with 18 and has tallied 40 goals, 31 assists and 15 steals with 12 multi-goal games.
The Tigers had two players named to the All-NWPC Second Team in Gavin Appeldorn and Finn LeSieur.
Appeldorn was named the conference NWPC Rookie of the Week on his way to All-NWPC Second Team accolades. The freshman out of Newport Beach, Calif. was second on the team in goals and steals with 47 and 31 respectively. Appeldorn had 55 drawn exclusions to lead the team in the category.
LeSieur earned his first career NWPC Player of the Week honors in the final week of the regular season this year. The sophore notched 38 goals and owned a .633 shooting percentage. LeSieur added 36 drawn exclusions, 24 assists, 13 blocks and nine steals to the sheet to be named to the All-NWPC Second Team.
Gavin Molloy was a player to look out for on the Princeton roster this season. The senior captain started in all 29 games for the Tigers and was named all conference Honorable Mention. Molloy found the back of the cage 18 times and is third on the team in assists with 34. He added 16 drawn exclusions, 13 steals and seven blocks.
