Fillier Earns Season's Third ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week Honor

A hat trick and a five-goal weekend have helped Princeton senior Sarah Fillier earn the honor as the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels, for the third time this season.

Fillier had three goals and an assist in Princeton's 5-1 win over Union on Friday night, with the hat trick as her second of the season and fourth of her career, and with the assist as the 100th of her career, making her the second player in program history and first since 1995 to reach the century mark in assists. The next day, Fillier scored twice in the first three minutes at RPI, making it a five-goal, six-point weekend.

The scoring outburst lifted Fillier to 88 career goals, seventh in program history, and 188 career points, fourth in program history. Among current players, Fillier's 88 career goals lead all of Division I, as do her 0.75 goals per game and 1.61 points per game. Her 188 career points are second and her 0.85 assists per game are third.

Fillier and the Tigers will host Dartmouth on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the ECAC Hockey Opening Round. Tickets are available here.
