Trio of Games Ahead for Women's Soccer Team This Spring
March 26, 2024 | Women's Soccer
Coming off a 2023 season that saw the Tigers advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament, the Princeton women's soccer team will play three games this spring with two at home.
"Our staff is really looking forward to seeing this group compete during our three spring games in April," Princeton head coach Sean Driscoll said. "The energy in training has been fantastic and we feel everyone has made progress in different aspects of their respective games. We have asked some of our players to try new positions and each of them have done so with a purpose. After what will have been nine weeks of training, the team will be chomping at the bit to finally face someone other than themselves. We feel these games will be a tremendous opportunity for every student-athlete to leave a lasting impression before heading home for the summer. If you happen to be in the area for any of our games, please come by and support us."
Non-seniors scored 23 of the Tigers' 35 goals last year, a group that included six of the 11 goal scorers and four of the top seven goal scorers. Both goalkeepers from last season, Tyler McCamey and Cecilia Cerone, who helped limit opponents to 1.20 goals per game last season, are back, among the 121 of 209 starting spots across the 19 games that went to non-seniors.
