September 03, 2026 | Women's Soccer
Though the Princeton women's soccer team came within a minute of holding No. 8-ranked Ohio State scoreless after the half on Thursday night in Columbus, the Buckeyes' early goals were enough to hand the Tigers a 4-0 defeat.
OSU's Amanda Schlueter had a first-minute goal, and Elle Britt added one before 10 minutes were gone to give the Buckeyes a 2-0 lead. Mia Stevens had OSU's final goal in the 34th minute, and Schlueter spoiled the second-half shutout by converting a penalty kick in the game's final minute.
Though total shots were 24-10 in Ohio State's favor, the gap was 13-1Â at halftime before OSU's shot advantage was 11-9 in the second half.Â
Princeton will face its second straight Big Ten opponent on Sunday when it heads to Rutgers for a 5 p.m. kick.Â
