Maddie Recupero, Dylan Jovanovic and Kayla Wong had the goals as the Princeton women's soccer team won for the third time in as many home matches on the season Thursday night at Roberts Stadium, defeating Colgate 3-0.
Princeton outshot the Raiders 24-4 overall and 11-2 on goal, with Cecilia Cerone and Carson Proctor splitting halves between the posts. Cerone did not face a shot on goal in the first half, and in her collegiate debut, Proctor made saves on both Raider shots on goal after the break.
Twenty minutes into the game, Recupero received a pass into the 18 from Sarah Houston and provided the finish to get Princeton on the board, and four minutes later, Jovanovic took control of a ball ahead of the midfield stripe and took in the rest of the way, getting past each of the four Colgate defenders who encountered her before firing it home to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
The final goal came with less than four minutes in the game when Recupero threaded a pass to Wong near the six, and Wong finished there for the 3-0 lead. Blane McElroy began the play by getting control of the ball near the touch line before sending it on to Recupero, earning her first collegiate point on the play as Recupero's assist gave the sophomore her first collegiate three-point game.
Princeton has outscored its first three home opponents of 2026, Loyola (Md.), James Madison and Colgate, a combined 8-0, and the Tigers will head over the Delaware for their next two games, first to Lehigh on Sunday before the non-conference finale at Villanova on Sept. 20.
