PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Open Rowing Team will have three alumnae participating for the United States Olympic Team at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Claire Collins '19, Emily Kallfelz '19, and Kelsey Reelick '14 were named to the team and will race in either in the eight or four boats this summer.
"We feel immense pride and excitement for the Claire, Emily and Kelsey, who have been named to the US Olympic team," said Princeton coach Lori Dauphiny. "It's a testament to their hard work and dedication. We watched them lead our team to new levels and now they continue to inspire future generations!"
Collins was a four-time All-Ivy honoree and three-time All-American. She finished her senior year with the von Kienbusch Award and was nominated for NCAA's Woman of the Year honor. Collins helped the program win four straight Ivy titles.
Kallfelz '19 has had success on the international stage, placing 11th in the quadruple sculls at the 2023 World Rowing Championships. She also finished fifth in the double sculls and seventh in the quadruple sculls at the 2023 World Rowing Cup II.
During her time at Princeton, Kallfelz was a two-time USRowing U-23 Female Athlete of the Year, two-time All-American and four-time All-Ivy rower while helping the Tigers to three Ivy League titles.
Reelick '14 began her time at Princeton as the lone freshman in Princeton's NCAA champion varsity eight. She followed that with a fourth-place finish during her sophomore year and silver medal in her junior campaign. Reelick nabbed two All-Ivy selections and a first-team All-America honor as a senior.
Rowing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place July 27-August 4. The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are scheduled from August 28 to September 8, with Para rowing events beginning August 30
