Women's Basketball Back In The WBCA Coaches' Poll at No. 25

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team is back in the WBCA Coaches' Poll at No. 25.

The Tigers are 22-4 this season and 12-1 in the Ivy League after defeating Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend and sit with a NCAA Net Ranking of 31.

Trailing by five, 35-30, with a minute gone in the third quarter, Princeton ripped off seven of nine to tie the game at 37-all vs. Harvard. The Tigers finished the frame with six of eight to hold a 43-39 lead with one stanza to go.
The home squad's run continued as it stretched its advantage to 13, 54-41, with three minutes left.
Harvard never got within double-digits again. The Crimson made just six baskets on 25 attempts in the second half and went 0-of-5 from deep.

Head coach Carla Berube's squad ran off the first eight points of the contest and took a 17-6 lead into the second quarter against the Big Green Dartmouth cut its deficit to nine a few times but trailed 33-22 at the break.

Princeton put the contest away with 10 of the first 11 points to begin the second half. Dartmouth never got within 17 the rest of the game.

The Tigers can clinch a share of the conference championship with a win over Penn Saturday (2 p.m.) in the regular season finale. They can win the title outright with a Columbia loss at Cornell.
