Princeton improved to 24 victories in 2023, a turnaround of 17 victories, one of the most in the NCAA in Haumacher's first season last year. The Tigers finished third in the conference, earning a berth in the Ivy Tournament, reaching the championship game. The Tigers had seven All-Ivy selections highlighted by Scott Bandura and Tom Chmielewski's first team honors.

Chmielewski saw improvements last season in ERA (3.40), wins (six), complete games (three), shutouts (two), innings (76.2), runs allowed (38), strikeouts (74) and hitters' batting average against (.246). Honorable Mention All-Ivy honoree Jacob Faulkner broke the Princeton single season record for appearances with 26, while earning three wins and six saves in 2023.
