Women's Golf Defeats Coastal Carolina To Close Wolfpack Match Play

Princeton finished the Wolfpack Match Play event on a high note, defeating Coastal Carolina for seventh place after scoring a 3-2 win in the Seventh Place Match.
Caris Kim defeated her opponent, Carolina Hortian in convincing fashion, 6&5, to start the match off for the Tigers. Victoria Liu added a second win when she defeated Varatkarn Kunkaew, 4&2. She won the first two holes in her match and her opponent never closed closer than two holes down the rest of the way before Liu closed it out with two holes remaining.
Flora Zhang had the third win for the Tigers, defeating Luisa Gibson, 2&1. Zhang actually trailed early after dropping the first two holes, but she quickly responded by winning the third and fourth holes to bring the match back to all square with 14 holes remaining. By the time the match reached the second nine, Zhang had taken a 2-up lead and eventually she led by as many as three before a win on the penultimate hole secured the match.
