Each for the first time in their Tiger careers, sophomore catcher/third baseman Julia Dumais and freshman third baseman Sonia Zhang have earned NFCA All-Region honors, the coaches association announced today.
Dumais leads the Ivy League in walks (27), stands fifth in on-base percentage (.446), sixth in runs scored (28), and tied for seventh in RBI (27).
Zhang leads the Ivy League in on-base percentage (.503) and runs scored (40), stands second in batting average (.392), third in OPS (1.143), tied for third in hits (49), and fourth in slugging percentage (.640).
Both players were first-team All-Ivy League honorees and helped Princeton to the Ivy League title and Ivy League Tournament title and will begin the NCAA regional in Lafayette, La., on Friday.
