No. 32 Inchauspe & Astreinidis Advance To Round Of 16 At NCAA Championships

STILLWATER, Okla. – For the third time in the past four season the Princeton University men's tennis team are sending a doubles team to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships, after No. 32 Paul Inchauspe and Filippos Astreinidis of the 32nd-ranked Tigers got past No. 4 Joshua Lapadat and JJ Mercer of No. 5 Kentucky Tuesday evening at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Tiger duo took down No. 4 Mercer and Lapadat 7-5, 6-1. While it was a hard-fought first set, No. 32 Inchaupse and Astreinidis won decisively in the second.
They become the third Princeton doubles team to make it the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships in the past four seasons, following in the footsteps of Ryan Seggerman '22 and Justin Barki '22 in 2022. Seggerman also made it the Round of 16 in 2019 with Payton Holden '20.
No. 32 Inchauspe and Astreinidis will play their Round of 16 match tomorrow. Time and opponents to be announced.
