No. 4 Women's Rowing Advances All Three Boats to NCAA Semifinals

BETHEL - The No. 4 Princeton Women's Rowing Team successfully advanced all three boats to the A/B semifinals on the first day of the 2024 NCAA Women's Rowing National Championships. The Tigers had two first-place finishers and one second-place finisher.
"It was a good start for the team," said head coach Lori Dauphiny. "There were some nerves and adrenaline going in so it was nice to get the racing started. All boats stepped up to the occasion. The field looks strong as we had anticipated. Now we are on to the semis!"
The Varsity Eight secured first place in their race, as it led from the start and finished 3.5 seconds ahead of the field with a time of 6:52.52. Michigan came in second (6:56.044), followed by Penn (6:58.396).

The Second Varsity Eight finished second with a time of 7:06.553, just behind Stanford's boat. They were 1.5 seconds ahead of third-place Virginia.

Princeton's Varsity A4 also had a strong performance, finishing in first with a time of 7:52.697, rounding out a successful day for Dauphiny's team. That crew was in front of California in second (7:57.681) and Michigan in third (8:02.403).

The championships will continue tomorrow morning at East Fork/Harsha Lake.
