Victoria Liu Qualifies For 2024 CPKC Women's Open

Victoria Liu is returning to the CPKC Women's Open for the second year in a row after advancing through Monday's qualifier at Mickelson National Golf Club in Calgary.
Liu carded a 71 (-1) to finish second in the 23-woman qualifier, finishing as just one of two golfers under par for the round. She had two birdies in her round, including one at the last to solidify her standing and punch her ticket to her second career LPGA event.
Last year, Liu earned a sponsor's exemption to the CPKC Women's Open which was held at her home course in Vancouver -- Shaughnessy Golf And Country Club.
"Victoria continues to showcase how elite her game can be as she competes around the world against not only the best amateurs but also professionals," head coach Erika DeSanty said. "It is amazing to see her develop as a player and represent Princeton on the LPGA stage. It has been a busy summer for her, and each tournament she competes in is another step forward for her as she realizes her dream."
A two-time Ivy League Player of the Year after earning the honor in 2023 and 2024, Liu has played in three NCAA Regionals as a player -- twice qualifying as an individual and once as part of Princeton's team qualification on 2022. That 2022 season saw her win the first of two medalist honors at the Ivy Championships, the other coming this past season, and resulted in Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors.
The 2024 CPKC Women's Open begins on July 25 at Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary. Tee times, scores and tournament info can be found here.
