Four From Women's Rowing To Row At U-23 World Rowing Championships

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Rowing Team will have four rowers participating in the U-23 World Rowing Championships.
Phaedra van der Molen '26 will race for the Netherlands in the 4- while Margot LeRoux '25 and Joely Cherniss '27 are in the United States' 8+. Kerry Grundlingh '27 is in the South Africa's 2- boat.
"We are very excited to watch our four fabulous rowers and other Tigers from the boathouse to compete at the U-23 World Rowing Championships," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "They have worked all summer to make the fastest boat possible and represent their country on the world stage. We are so proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to see them race."
van der Molen and Grundlingh were in the second varsity that finished sixth overall at the 2024 NCAA Rowing Championships and helped the Tigers to fourth overall in the team standings, marking the first time Princeton had ever been top in three consecutive seasons since 2010-13.
LeRoux and Cherniss were on the first varsity that won Ivy League gold and helped the Tigers to the Ivy League Championship and collected fourth at the NCAA Rowing Championships.
The U-19 and U-23 World Rowing Championships take place in St. Catharines, Canada.
