September 15, 2024 | Women's Soccer
A 36th-minute foul in the 18-yard box led to a penalty kick, and the lead that Georgetown's Eliza Turner gave the Hoyas with that PK stood up in a 1-0 Georgetown win on Sunday night at Roberts Stadium.
The result moves Princeton to 4-2 on the season heading into the team's final pre-conference game at Fairfield on Wednesday. The team will open Ivy play at Cornell on Sept. 28.
Tyler McCamey, already a two-time Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week this season, made seven saves for the Tigers.
Sunday's game was the final pre-conference game for Georgetown (4-1-3), which received votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches Top 25.
