
Four From Men’s Water Polo Earn All-American Honors

PRINCETON, N.J.- For the second time in program history, the Princeton Men's Water Polo Team had four players recognized as ACWPC All-Americans.
Roko Pozaric was named to the Second Team for the second time in his career. He is now the fifth player in program history to be named an All-American in all four seasons. Pozaric led the Tigers with 75 goals, 37 steals and 90 sprint wins. He also tallied 45 assists, 23 drawn ejections and seven blocks. Pozaric broke the program's all-time goals record with a hat trick in the victory over No. 7/9 Pepperdine and ended his career with Princeton with 281 goals. Pozaric notched goals in all but two contests this season and had 15 three-plus goal games.
Vladan Mitrovic received his second consecutive Third Team All-American honors. Mitrovic led the team in blocks with 20 in his final season with the Tigers. He also added 30 goals, 32 assists and 17 steals. In the 2024 season, Mitrovic recorded 14 multi-goal games and had a five goal performance against No. 7 Pacific.
After a career year, Kristóf Kovács received his second All-American honors in as many seasons. Kovács was recognized as an All-American Honorable Mention after putting up staggering numbers throughout the year. The Princeton keeper started all 32 games in the cage on his way to breaking the single season saves record with 327 and owned a .519 save percentage. Kovács was also second on the team in steals with 34 and tacked on 27 helpers. In the NWPC Championship game against No. 19 Brown, Kovács made 20 stops in goal.
Gavin Appeldorn made waves in his first collegiate season and was named an All-American Honorable Mention. The freshman competed in all 32 games and made 19 starts and paced the Tigers with 61 drawn ejections. Appeldorn was second on the team with 52 goals and third in steals with 31 while adding 17 assists. He tallied 15 multi-goal performances and put up five goals in his opening weekend against Occidental along with four scores against No. 1 UCLA, No. 11/15 UCSD and LIU.
