Early Start Not Enough As Men’s Water Polo Falls To No. 3 USC

LOS ANGELES, Calif.- The Princeton men's water polo team resumed its fall break trip with a matchup with the USC Trojans.

Finn LeSieur started the game with back to back goals for the Tigers to get out to a quick 2-0 lead. Tigran Sennett scored the third tally for Princeton as the team led the Trojans 3-2 after the first eight minutes of play.
USC scored four in the second frame to take a one goal lead heading into the halftime break.
Sennett found the back of the cage for the second time in the contest to help Princeton work to cut into the USC lead. The two squads traded goals before LeSieur scored his third goal for the hat trick with just one second to play in the third, setting the score at 12-9.
The Trojans took a five goal lead, but the Tigers worked their way back to within two with 4:10 to play thanks to a goal from Ádám Peocz on the six on five opportunity.
Princeton outscored USC 4-3 in the final quarter of play, with Taylor Bell and Peocz each scoring a pair. The two teams again went back and forth but the score ultimately stood at 15-13 in favor of USC.
LeSieur and Peocz led the Princeton offense with three goals a piece.
