PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's cross country team is set to host the 2025 Princeton Fall Classic on Friday, October 17th at its home Meadows Cross Country Course.
With Ivy Heps on the horizon in just a few weeks, the Fall Classic will provide an opportunity for the Tigers to build on recent successes and compete against some of the most elite programs in the country, right in their backyard.
Last Time Out
Most recently, Princeton competed at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh, as four Tigers finished in the top 10 of the open race including Emma De Jong, Olivia Martin, Emily Cooper and Anna Chittenden.
Before that, the Tigers competed at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo.. Anna McNatt crossed the finish line first for the Tigers, clocking in with a new PR of 20:09.30 to take 39th place at the meet.
She was the only woman in the top-40 to pass over 100 runners between the 1000m line and the finish, a feat that earned her Ivy Athlete of the Week honors on September 30.
Looking Back at Last Season
The Tigers enter the 2025 season after completing an Ivy League Triple Crown in 2025, which began with winning the 2024 Ivy League Cross Country Championship - the program's first since 2015.
Last season, the Tigers placed fourth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic regionals.
Princeton is ranked fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, according to the USTFCCCA's most recent poll.
Meet the Tigers
The Tigers return six of seven scorers and pushers from the Ivy Championships, and five of the squad that scored at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
Sophomores De Jong, Madison and McNatt return after being consistent scorers for Princeton their freshman year. McNatt earned First Team All-Ivy honors in 2024 while Meg Madison was a Second Team All-Ivy selection.
The upperclassmen squad of Stella Vieth, Hannah Riggins and Olivia Martin bring their experience to the season after making an impact in last year's indoor and outdoor track seasons. The trio helped Princeton to a win in the outdoor 4x800 relay, with Riggins and Vieth picking up additional indoor titles in the 1000m and 4x800, respectively.
About Coach Hunt
The Tigers are led by Brad Hunt, in his 10th season at the helm of the cross country program. He earned 2024 Ivy Cross Country Coach of the Year honors after leading the squad to the championship title. He also picked up Mid-Atlantic Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors in the outdoor track season.
