PRINCETON, N.J. – With Anna McNatt finishing second and three other Tigers in the top-15, the Princeton women's cross country team took second place at the Princeton Fall Classic on Friday.
In a field of 25 teams, which included six Ivy League schools, Princeton excelled, earning a team score of 57 - just two points behind first place Boise State.
McNatt was first across the line for the Tigers, clocking in with a personal-best time of 19:44.0. Kicking out 19 runners in her second split, and another three in the final 600m, McNatt took second place in a field of over 250 runners.
Meg Madison was next to score for Princeton after consistently advancing throughout the race. Moving up six places between 1500m and 2400m, Madison was in 11th place at the 3100m mark. Pushing to kick out another five runners through to the finish, Madison battled her way into the top 10 to take sixth overall with a new personal best time of 20:08.6.
First-year Caroline Barton took 12th place after kicking out six runners in the final split. She clocked in at 20:22.9, shaving over 20 seconds off her only previous collegiate 6k mark.
Emma De Jong rounded out the Tigers in the top-15, as she made a final push to pass three runners in the last 600m to finish 13th with a new PR time of 20:24.4.
Hannah Riggins was the final scorer for Princeton, taking 24th with a time of 20:42.8 to set a new 6k PR.
Olivia Martin and Emily Cooper were the Tiger pushers, taking 25th and 36th, respectively. Martin passed seven runners in the final 600m to finish in 20:45.1, while Cooper clocked in at 20:55.1.

Now, Princeton will look ahead to the Ivy Heptagonal Championships, which will be hosted by Columbia in just two weeks on October 31.
