Four Finish In Top 10 As Women's Cross Country Competes At Paul Short

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Four Tigers finished in the top 10 as the Princeton women's cross country had a strong showing at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem on Friday.
With six Tigers making their 2025 6k debut, Princeton excelled in the women's open race as Emma De Jong, Olivia Martin, Emily Cooper and Anna Chittenden made the top 10 in a field of over 442 runners.
De Jong finished first for the Tigers, staying near the top of the pack before kicking out two runners between the two-mile mark and the finish to take fourth place with a time of 20:42.8.
Martin was behind her, clocking in at 20:54.4 for fifth place after passing two runners in her final split as well.
Cooper took eighth place, again staying consistently towards the front of the group before making a final kick to move up one place with a time of 21:08.6.
Chittenden rounded out the Tigers in the top-10, making an incredible run as she passed 24 competitors between the one mile mark and the finish to take 10th place. Recording a mark of 21:17.3, Chittenden was the only woman in the top-10 to pass more than four competitors between the two splits.
First-year Abigail Errington made her collegiate 6k debut, taking 26th place with a time of 21:56.1.
Abigail Kolbe, new to the squad as well, ran her first collegiate 6k, finishing in the top-100 with a time of 22:51.9.
At the course that will host this year's Mid-Atlantic Regionals, this young squad of Tigers were able to showcase their depth and gain course experience that will help them later on this year.
With championship season drawing near, Princeton will next look to close out the regular season and build on their recent successes as it hosts the Princeton Fall Classic at home on October 17th.
