Paul Inchauspé Becomes Two-Time All-American At NCAA Individual Championships
November 19, 2025 | Men's Tennis
ORLANDO, Fla.- Paul Inchauspé has had a stellar career with the Princeton men's tennis team and continues to add his name to the record books. With a win in the Round of 32, Inchauspé became a back to back ITA All-American.
For the second straight match, he dropped the first set and was forced to battle back against UC Santa Barbara's Lucca Liu. This pressure did not phase Inchauspé, but did the opposite– it fueled him.
The junior battled off several match points to tie things up at 5-5 in the second set. From there, Inchauspé forced a tiebreak and took the set 7-6(4).
With victory just a set away, he put his foot on the gas and came out to a quick 3-0 lead. The momentum was in Inchauspé's favor and he closed things out to win the match 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-1.
"It was an incredible effort the last two days for Paul to battle from behind to earn third set victories," head coach Billy Pate said. "Similar to yesterday, he was down today a set and a break, 2-6, 3-5 - saving five match points along the way. I guess he's becoming the 'comeback kid' of sorts, and we couldn't be more proud of his constant fight and resiliency. I'm sure he would say he wasn't as sharp as he wanted to be in these matches, but he keeps finding a way."
Inchauspé will now face Georgia's Will Jansen in the Round of 16 with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
