Men’s Water Polo’s Fourth Quarter Surge Powers Tigers Past Brown

PROVIDENCE, N.J.- The Princeton men's water polo team kicked off the weekend in Providence with a matchup against the Brown Bears. The contest marks the start of the final regular season weekend before the NWPC tournament. In a crucial conference contest, a fourth quarter surge led Princeton past Brown 18-15.

The Tigers got off to a hot start with three straight goals. Brown got two back but a first quarter hat trick from Otto Stothart gave Princeton a 5-3 advantage.
Enrique Nuño and Taylor Bell each scored a pair in the second to give them both a hat trick as the Bears trailed the Tigers 9-6.
Adam Peocz scored quickly to begin the third with Bell following suit for his fourth of the game.
Not going down easily, Brown rattled off six goals in the third frame of play, including a buzzer beater from distance to even the score at 12-12 heading to the final quarter.
Princeton responded with an offensive attack of its own with Logan McCarroll starting the rally. The Tigers tallied six goals all from different scorers to put them ahead for good and pick up their seventh conference victory of the season.
Bell, Nuño and Stothart each scored four goals in the win to lead the offense as Kristóf Kovacs made 11 saves in the cage
